Общий вопрос

Запомни: если на вопрос ты можешь ответить «да» или «нет», смело называй его общим. Носители так и говорят «yes/no question»

Разберем русский аналог:

1. Марина учит английский язык с трех лет

Учит ли Марина английский язык с трех лет? (на этот вопрос можно ответить «да» или «нет»)

2. Вчера они ходили в кино.

Ходили ли они вчера в кино? (на этот вопрос можно ответить «да» или «нет»)

3. Владимир купил новую машину.

Купил ли Владимир новую машину? (на этот вопрос можно ответить «да» или «нет»)

Шпаргалка: если в предложении есть такие глаголы как: am, is, are, was, were, will, have got, has got, must, can, should, may, could, поставь их перед подлежащим и получится общий вопрос. Если сказуемое состоит из более одного глагола, тогда первый всегда будет строить вопрос. Если предложение сложное и в нем есть придаточная часть, то вопрос строим к главному предложению.

Примеры:

Sam is working in the garden. Is Sam working in the garden?

They are solving the problem. Are they solving the problem?

It was a very interesting film. Was it a very interesting film?

Sam and Steve were friends. Were Sam and Steve friends?

He will come tomorrow. Will he come tomorrow?

She has got a car. Has she got a car?

They have got a big house. Have they got a big house?

You must follow the rules. Must you follow the rules?

Larry can swim. Can Larry swim?

He may go out. May he go out?

They should go to the dentist. Should they go to the dentist?

Общие вопросы в Present Simple

Правило: Если в настоящем простом времени нет глагола to be, have/has got, и модальных глаголов, тогда нам нужно использовать вспомогательные глаголы Do или Does, которые так же нужно поставить перед подлежащим.

Шпаргалка: как правильно выбрать вспомогательный глагол Do или Does? Посмотри на предложение, найди сказуемое. Если оно без окончания –s/-es, то пользуйся вспомогательным глаголом Do. В ином случае используй Does, но не забудь опустить окончание –s у сказуемого!

Примеры:

1. She likes bananas (посмотри, у сказуемого окончание –s). Зададим вопрос: Does she like bananas?

2. They swim in the sea (у глагола нет окончания). Do they swim in the sea?

3. His mom runs in the park every morning. Does his mom run in the park every morning?

4. Children go to school 5 days a week. Do children go to school 5 days a week?

5. My friends travel around the world every year. Do my friends travel around the world every year?

6. Sally works in the center of Chicago. Does Sally work in the center of Chicago?

7. They go to bed at 10 in winter. Do they go to bed at 10 in winter?

8. London stands on the river Thames. Does London stand on the river Thames?

9. He visits my granny on Sundays. Does he visit my granny on Sundays?

10. They wake up early in summer. Do they wake up early in summer?

11. The shops open at 9 o’clock. Do the shops open at 9 o’clock?

12. She hates eating soup. Does she hate eating soup?

13. Susie and Kate study at the university. Do Susie and Kate study at the university?

14. She usually catches a bus to school. Does she usually catch a bus to school?

15. They read English books. Do they read English books?

На общий вопрос отвечают кратко. Рассмотрим пример:

Does he like playing volleyball? Yes, he does/No, he doesn’t

Do they swim in the sea? Yes, they do/No, they don’t

Are they in the park? Yes, they are/No, they aren’t

Is he a pilot? Yes, he is/No, he isn’t

Has she got a car? Yes, she has/ No, she hasn’t

Can he ride a bike? Yes, he can./ No, he can’t

Have they been learning English since childhood? Yes, they have/No, they haven’t

Задай общий вопрос к предложениям и ответь на них кратко:

1. Little kitten lives in the kitchen.

2. They watch TV in the evenings.

3. Children play hide-and-seek in the garden every day.

4. There is a lot of olive oil in the cupboard.

5. Their parents live in Moscow.

6. It often snows in winter.

7. He wears a uniform at school.

8. Whales are bigger than dolphins.

9. Sue likes coffee.

10. Gary and Diana go to school together.

11. David Barker lives in the town.

12. Ben was in Egypt last year.

13. We go to the swimming pool sometimes.

14. Jane helps her mother every day.

Общий вопрос в PastSimple

Запомни: в прошедшем простом времени используем вспомогательный глагол Did, при этом помни, что смысловой глагол в вопросе нужно использовать в начальной форме.

Обрати внимание на примеры:

He played — Did he play (начальная форма глагола)?

They swam — Did they swim (начальная форма глагола)?

We tried — Did they try (начальная форма глагола)?

Sam saw — Did Sam see? (начальная форма глагола)

Amanda rode a bike — Did Amanda ride a bike? (начальная форма глагола)

Есть сильные предложения с was и were, которым не нужен помощник.

Как ответить на общий вопрос в прошедшем простом времени?

1) Did he like playing volleyball? — Yes, he did/ — No, he didn’t

2) Did they swim in the sea? — Yes, they did/ — No, they didn’t

3) Were they in the park? — Yes, they were/ — No, they weren’t

4) Was he a pilot? — Yes, he was/ — No, he wasn’t

5) Did she buy a car? — Yes, she did/ — No, she didn’t

6) Did he ride a bike? — Yes, he did./ — No, he didn’t

7) Did they learn the poem?— Yes, they did/— No, they didn’t

Задай общие вопросы и ответь на них:

1. She went to New York last year.

2. They played badminton in the gym.

3. Miranda listened to music yesterday evening.

4. They gathered mushrooms in the forest.

5. I closed the door with my keys.

6. He was very happy yesterday.

7. You were at the baker’s last night.

Вопрос к подлежащему

Запомни: если тебе интересно, кто выполняет действие — это вопрос к подлежащему. Нам помогут его составить слова что?/кто? what/who.

Разберем русский аналог:

Предложение/вопрос к подлежащему:

Он смотрит телевизор по вечерам. Кто смотрит телевизор по вечерам?

Мы любим ходить в кино. Кто любит смотреть кино?

Сьюзен идет в магазин. Кто идет в магазин?
