Chapter #1

Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Harper. Harper was four years old and loved animals. One sunny day, his parents brought home a special surprise. It was a wavy parrot named Mia. Mia was blue with yellow spots and very friendly. Harper was so excited to have a new friend. He promised his parents he would take good care of Mia.

Chapter #2

Harper and his parents set up a nice cage for Mia. They put in a soft perch and some toys. Mia chirped happily as she explored her new home. Harper watched her with wide eyes. He knew he had to keep Mia’s cage clean. His parents told him that a clean cage would keep Mia healthy. Harper nodded and promised to clean the cage every day.

Chapter #3

Every morning, Harper would wake up early. He would greet Mia with a cheerful «Good morning!» Then, he would carefully clean her cage. He would replace the old newspaper with fresh ones. Harper would also make sure Mia had clean water and fresh seeds. Mia would chirp happily, and Harper felt proud of his work.

Chapter #4

One day, Harper was very busy playing with his toys. He forgot to clean Mia’s cage. The next morning, Mia’s cage was messy. There were old seeds and dirty water. Mia looked sad and didn’t chirp as much. Harper felt bad when he saw Mia. He realized he had to be responsible, even when he was busy.
