Yes, the core of the revolution consisted mainly of a handful of renegade Jews who had betrayed their faith, changed their last names, in order to achieve their goal. But this is not the Jewish nation as a whole. The coup in 1917 was largely based on the proletarians. The proletariat was taking revenge for its past humiliations.
